Teamwork makes the dream work.

Aaron j Robinson, Chief Operations Officer
John W. Gunn, Founder/Executive Director

In 1993, gas was a buck. The worldwide web was invented. Jurassic Park was the number one hit movie. And a pastor named John W. Gunn had a vision for helping inner-city kids achieve greatness.

Moving into our fourth decade, John is still dreaming big about how God may move in the years to come. Our gifted staff, generous donors and selfless volunteers work as a team — committed to relentlessly advancing the original mission of empowering kids and building champions.

Integral to our continuing growth is the leadership of our chief operations officer, Aaron j Robinson – a native of Pontiac, Michigan. Aaron has been active in urban youth ministry since 1997, and has a growing passion for Christ and inner-city youth that’s pushing us forward into new avenues of serving.

From experience, both John and Aaron know the socio-economic challenges PCKC is facing in Detroit and Pontiac. But both are energized and optimistic about the unprecedented opportunities — including building a new permanent facility in Detroit — that God is providing by his grace and provision.

Aaron j Robinson

Growing up in the inner-city of Pontiac, Aaron’s situation in life often robbed him of a sense of purpose and hope. That changed when he came to find his hope and purpose in Christ at the age of 14. After graduating high school, he became active in youth ministry leadership. He now serves with John, his friend and mentor, in leading the PCKC.
